Robert Cormier, 51, of Barrington, New Jersey, the chief operating officer of Erigere Rapidus Solutions, Inc., was charged with embezzling approximately $3 million from the Westville-based security company and committing bank fraud related to $9 million in cash that the company held in trust for a local bank. Richard Eisler, 38, of Clementon, New Jersey, the company’s deputy director, was charged with embezzling over $2 million from the same cash holdings.

Cormier was arraigned on July 20, 2026, in Camden federal court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth A. Pascal on charges of embezzlement by bank agent, bank fraud, money laundering, income tax evasion, and failing to collect and pay over payroll taxes. Eisler was arraigned on July 24, 2026, before the same judge on charges of embezzlement by bank agent, money laundering, income tax evasion, and witness tampering.

Beginning in late 2019, Erigere Rapidus Solutions held a contract with a local bank to collect, count, transport, store, and deposit cash on behalf of the bank at the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia. The company’s vault stored varying amounts between $1 million and $12 million daily from March 2019 through September 2022. When the bank ended the relationship with the company, investigators determined that over $8 million was missing.

From 2020 to 2022, Cormier withdrew at least $3 million in unauthorized cash belonging to the bank from the company vault. According to court documents, he used the funds to pay employee payroll, security system installations, company vehicles, and personal expenses including “the installation of a deck and a pool, and household renovations.” Cormier did not report this income to the IRS or collect payroll taxes for employees.

From 2020 to late 2021, Eisler stole approximately $2 million in cash from the vault without authorization. He used the funds for personal luxury purchases including “an Audi RS7, Audi R8, Porsche 911, Ford F450 truck, Dodge Durango, Harley Davidson motorcycle, and a recreational vehicle.” The funds also paid for his wedding rings, reception, home roof, and an automobile loan. During the investigation, Eisler “attempted to persuade a witness to lie to the federal agents.”

Cormier faces maximum sentences of 30 years on each embezzlement and bank fraud count. Eisler faces a maximum of 30 years on the embezzlement charge and 20 years on witness tampering. The cases are being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Richardson of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Camden.
